I humbly bow before you, seeking your divine Grace and favor, O Adorable Lord. Please forgive me as a father forgives his son, as a friend forgives his companion, and as a lover forgives his beloved. (11:44)
O, God! I am ecstatic about beholding something never seen before, yet my heart is fraught with fears. {Therefore, to bring peace to my shaken heart} show me your previous {benign} Deity-form. Be gracious, O, God of gods and Refuge of the Universe! (11:45)

{Instead of this fiery colossal Cosmic Form} I wish to view you in the form {of Vishnu} with Kirit (the Kingly golden headgear), with mace and Sudarshan Chakra (the whirling disk weapon) in your hands. Therefore, O, {fearsome} Thousand-armed {Cosmic Colossus}, return to that same {soothing} four-armed {merciful} appearance. (11:46)
O, Arjuna! I have revealed My Primal, Infinite, and supremely radiant Cosmic Form to you, through my Creative Power, out of my pleasure. This form has never been seen by anyone else before. (11:47)
The vision of My Cosmic Form, similar to the one you have witnessed, cannot be attained in this human world through Vedic sacrificial ceremonies, study of the Vedas, charity, virtuous deeds, or severe austerities. O, the valiant one among the Kurus! Such a vision is accessible only to {those like} you who have surrendered to Me with loving devotion. (11:48)

Having spoken these words to Arjuna, Krishna, the son of Vasudeva, once again revealed to him His {four-armed Vishnu} form. Then, assuming His {two-armed} graceful human personality, the Supreme Being consoled the frightened Arjuna. (11:50)
O, Janārdana! Seeing you once more in your benevolent human form, I have regained my composure and now feel like my true self. (11:51)
The form you witnessed of Mine is exceedingly rare and coveted even by the gods themselves. (11:52)
The forms you have just witnessed of Mine cannot be perceived through the study of the Vedas, austerities, charitable acts, or yajna. (11:53)
However, O, Arjuna, the one who practices Ananya Bhakti—undivided and single-minded loving devotion to Me—can indeed perceive in this way, know, and merge with Me. (11:54)
