"Mādhava" is among the numerous names attributed to God Personified Sri Vishnu. Sri Krishna, being an incarnation of Sri Vishnu, is also referred to as Mādhava. Scholars hold varying opinions regarding the origin and significance of the name Mādhava. Some associate it with "Madhu," signifying honey that is sweet and akin to nectar. It's important to note that Mādhava should not be conflated with another name for Sri Krishna, "Madhusudana," which denotes "the destroyer of the demon, Madhu."
