क्षेत्र क्षेत्रज्ञ विभाग योग
यथा प्रकाशयत्येकः कृत्स्नं लोकमिमं रविः । क्षेत्रं क्षेत्री तथा कृत्स्नं प्रकाशयति भारत॥ 13:33॥
यथा प्रकाशयति एकः कृत्स्नम् लोकम् इमम् रविः, क्षेत्रम् क्षेत्री तथा कृत्स्नम् प्रकाशयति भारत।
भारत (हे भरतवंशी)! यथा (जैसे) एकः (एक) रविः (सूर्य) इमम् (इस) कृत्स्नम् (संपूर्ण) लोकम् (विश्व को) प्रकाशयति (प्रकाशित करता है)तथा (वैसे ही) क्षेत्री (क्षेत्रज्ञ) कृत्स्नम् (संपूर्ण) क्षेत्रम् (क्षेत्र को) प्रकाशयति (प्रकाशित करता है)।

हे भरतवंशी अर्जुन! जिस प्रकार एक ही सूर्य इस सारे संसार को प्रकाशित करता है, उसी प्रकार एक ही क्षेत्रपति (परमात्मा और उनकी अंश आत्माएँ) समस्त क्षेत्र को {अर्थात समस्त जीवों के शरीर को चेतना-रूपी प्रकाश से} प्रकाशित करता है।

O Descendant of King Bharata! Just as the same sun illuminates the entire world, similarly, the Lord of the Field (God) enlightens the entire Field (the bodies of all beings) with the radiance of consciousness. (13:33)

The individual soul illuminates its respective body, while God, the Supreme Spirit, illuminates the bodies of all beings collectively through His individual spirit portions.
