तेषामेवानुकम्पार्थमहमज्ञानजं तमः। नाशयाम्यात्मभावस्थो ज्ञानदीपेन भास्वता।। 10:11।।

तेषाम् (उनके ऊपर) अनुकम्पा-अर्थम् (अनुकंपा के उद्देश्य से) आत्म-भावस्थः (उनके हृदय में स्थित) अहम् (मैं) एव (ही) अज्ञान-जम् (अज्ञान से उत्पन्न) तमः (अंधकार) भास्वता (प्रकाशमान) ज्ञान-दीपेन (ज्ञान के दीपक द्वारा) नाशयामि (नष्ट कर देता हूँ)।

उनके अन्त:करण में स्थित मैं अनुग्रहपूर्वक उनके अज्ञानजनित अंधकार को प्रकाशमय ज्ञान-दीप द्वारा भस्म कर देता हूँ।


English

To bestow My Grace upon such loving devotees, I, stationed in their hearts, kindle the lamp of Knowledge, which, through its radiant luminosity, dissipates the darkness born of Ignorance. (10:11)

श्लोक 10:9 से 10:11 तक विशेष रूप से भक्ति-मार्गियों पर, मगर सामान्य रूप से अन्य मार्ग के उपासकों पर भी लागू होते हैं। श्लोक 10:11 यह प्रदर्शित करता है कि भक्ति-मार्ग से भी चलने पर अंत में भक्तों को प्रभु द्वारा स्वयं तत्त्व-ज्ञान भी प्रदान कर दिया जाता है।


English

Verses 10:9 to 10:11, in particular, hold particular significance for Bhakti-yogis or those following the Path of Loving Devotion. Verse 10:11 highlights that even devotees driven by intense emotions, including those who may be unlettered and uneducated, are graciously bestowed with transcendental Knowledge by God. This Knowledge is often not sought or requested by these devotees before they are granted entry into His Supreme Abode. This parallels the idea that followers of the Path of Knowledge are granted loving devotion (Bhakti) before their entry into the Supreme Abode of God, as mentioned in verse 18:54. It is essential to recall that in verse 7:17, God expressed a preference for devotees who possess both spiritual Knowledge and Bhakti (loving devotion). This underscores the Bhagavad-Dharma’s^1 approach of preparing all its devotees for the Supreme Spiritual Station by nurturing both loving devotion to God and a deep understanding of the transcendental knowledge of Reality, ensuring that neither aspect is neglected.
